Simple GIS Server Basics

Description

This video tutorial will demonstrate the basics of setting up and using Simple GIS Server as a server for your shape file or imagery data to Simple GIS Clients in a client/server configuration.  Simple GIS server provides better performance than trying to use a file server on Local Area or Wide Area Network and can even serve your data across the internet.  Also provides multi-user read/write access to your shapefiles.

Publishing Data to Simple GIS Server Instance

Description

This video tutorial will demonstrate the basics of setting up and using Simple GIS Server on a hosted server instance and using the GIS Server Admin plugin to publish data directly from within a Remote Simple GIS Client application to a Simple GIS Server instance.

Publishing Maps as a Web Mapping Service (WMS)

Description

This video tutorial will demonstrate the basics of publishing a map created in Simple GIS Client as a Web Mapping Service ( WMS ) from Simple GIS Server.  In addition, this tutorial will also demonstrate using the open source OpenLayers java script library to create a web map application and publishing this application using Windows IIS web server.
