This cloud-based offering takes the simplicity of Simple GIS Server a step further by providing a fully managed environment for hosting and sharing GIS maps. With Simple GIS Server Hosted Service, users can enjoy the benefits of web-based mapping without the complexities of server setup and maintenance. The Simple GIS Server - Hosted service provides a dedicated Simple GIS Server instance in the cloud for a low monthly fee. (See Pricing).  After purchasing this service, users will receive a URL and user credentials to their dedicated instance within 48 hours after ordering. Each instance supports up to 25 simultaneous users and provides a minimum 10 GB of data storage. Users use the Simple GIS Server Admin plugin in Simple GIS Client to administer and publish data to their Simple GIS Server instance.  Key features include:

• Publishing Simple GIS Client maps as read-only interactive Web Mapping Applications, allowing the creation of web maps viewable from any internet-connected web browser.

• Providing client/server high-speed access to vector and tabular data, enabling other Simple GIS Client users to connect to the Simple GIS Server instance for rapid data access over your private or public network. Simple GIS clients can carry out rendering, analytical, or editing tasks as though the data were accessed locally, including the hosting and publishing of linked documents and photos. Alternatively, Simple GIS Client users can connect to their Simple GIS Server instance and add published layers as replicated layers for offline use. Users can maintain concurrency between their local and server copies by periodically synchronizing these layers with their Simple GIS Server instance.

• Publishing raster data from your Simple GIS Client application as a Tile Mapping Service (TMS) on Simple GIS Server, making your raster imagery accessible to any GIS, browser, or web client that supports tile maps.

• Controlling user access through user credentials and role assignments, with the option to publish maps to the Public directory for universal access or to private directories to restrict access based on user credentials.
