Simple GIS Software offers both subscription and perpetual licenses to meet diverse customer needs. Subscription licenses grant users access to the software for a set period, including the latest software versions and free plugin access while active. Once the subscription ends, software and plugin access is terminated. 

Conversely, perpetual licenses provide indefinite access to the software version purchased as well as compatible plugins, with no ongoing fees. These licenses include free upgrades for the first-year post-purchase. After this period, users wishing to update to newer versions must buy a new license at a reduced rate which will also entitle the user to free upgrades for another 12-month period. 

Subscriptions are cost-effective for short-term needs due to their lower upfront cost. In contrast, perpetual licenses may offer a lower total cost of ownership over the long term and are advantageous for users requiring the software for longer durations.
