Simple GIS Server
Simple GIS Server is a Microsoft Windows standalone TCP/IP and Web Server designed to deliver GIS data to Simple GIS Clients or to publish interactive web maps over the internet or a private data network. You can publish your data and maps straight from your Simple GIS Client application to your Simple GIS Server instance. Key features include:
- Publishing Simple GIS Client maps as read-only interactive Web Mapping Applications, allowing the creation of web maps viewable from any internet-connected web browser.
- Providing client/server high-speed access to vector and tabular data, enabling Simple GIS Clients to connect to Simple GIS Server for rapid data access over your private or public network. Simple GIS clients can carry out rendering, analytical, or editing tasks as though the data were accessed locally, including the hosting and publishing of linked documents and photos.
- Publishing raster data from your Simple GIS Client application as a Tile Mapping Service (TMS) on Simple GIS Server, making your raster imagery accessible to any GIS, browser, or web client that supports tile maps.
- Controlling user access through user credentials and role assignments, with the option to publish maps to the Public directory for universal access or to private directories to restrict access based on user credentials.
